Amongst all dimensions of the present educational reality, the use of information and communication technologies (ICT) must be considered to develop and strengthen meaningful learning in the knowledge society of the digital era. With the use of new technologies in education there is a posibility to enrich academic quality, by promoting original teaching and learning alternatives using a variety of strategies with technological tools.
In order to create an objective, strategical proposal for the usage of technological devices, a research about different theories, methods and approaches that support their use has been done, specially in relation to the English language acquisition using the language laboratory, the Tell me more program, the Self Access center, the Internet in the classroom, the Telmex center and the Moodle educational platform, as well as the electronic board. At the same time, with the proposal of the strategical use of such devices, it look to promote educativa values such as autonomy, responsability, collaboration, intercultural education and motivation.
